Finding The Fun in Friendship Activities

Since we last connected, Walk With Sally has been busy creating an incredible community of support around all of our families impacted by cancer.  During July, Rock & Brews hosted their second activity of the year where mentors and mentees could come together for a day of tie-dye and pizza making.  Our next and 5th Friendship Activity of the year was our annual Surf Day in partnership with the Jimmy Miller Foundation. Over 100 of our mentees, mentors and family members joined a therapeutic day at the beach.

Walk With Sally Family impacted by cancer receiving gifts through our Hope For The Holidays Adopt a Family program

All of our Walk With Sally programs are dealing with cancer in one way or another. Whether they have someone who is currently battling, have lost someone, or are dealing with the aftermath, cancer can cause a huge emotional and financial burden on a family. By sponsoring a family this holiday season, you/your company/organization will be able to directly impact a family in need by bringing gifts and holiday cheer!

Details: In order to participate, donors are responsible to spend a total of $50 per family member with a minimum of $200 per family. We will provide you with the family’s wish list to utilize for your shopping. Gifts must be wrapped and labeled. Gift cards can be a supplement, however we encourage shopping using the provided wish list and giving the children something fun to open.

Families will be assigned on a first come, first served basis and are limited. If you would like to participate this year, please email Melanie Slosser or fill out our online application to reserve your spot today.
