And it’s not just the 20 million people diagnosed that are impacted, but also their loved ones. It’s the children that have to grow up in a world without their parent, or the parent who has to live in a world without their child.  It’s terrifying and unimaginable, yet a reality for millions…

Here’s what Walk With Sally knows…the costs of cancer are too great for any one person to bear. With your support, we are able to provide the resources, support, and empowerment to combat what cancer so ruthlessly takes. The holiday season can be an increasingly challenging time for families whose only wish is to live without the fear of loss or grief of their loved ones. In a global show of support and solidarity, Walk With Sally has created a visual and viral peer-to-peer fundraising campaign, to provide additional resources and support.

PEER-TO-PEER

Help us provide around-the-clock mental health support, and additional services to those struggling this holiday season. Start a peer-to-peer team or donate to an existing group. Not to mention, your fundraising efforts can be handsomely rewarded! The top fundraiser will win a trip to a destination of their choosing (terms and conditions apply).

SUPER POWER DAY:

THE CANCER DOESN’T SCARE US campaign starts on October 1st and will culminate in a SUPER POWER DAY on October 28th, where everyone is encouraged to wear a superhero mask or costume as a sign of solidarity and empowerment. Enduring and overcoming cancer-related trauma requires the qualities and resilience of Super Heroes. Let’s empower our cancer-impacted community by honoring their strength and showing them they are not alone. Take a photo of yourself wearing your superhero attire with the hashtag #cancerdoesntscareus and tag @walkwithsally, so that cancer communities around the world can come together and stand in solidarity.
