WALK WITH SALLY KICKS OFF FRIENDSHIP BOWL FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN
Help change the lives of 16 kids impacted by cancer
Fundraising has officially begun for the 10th annual Friendship Bowl event which culminates on March 11th, 2017 at PV Bowl. To kick off the fundraising efforts, Walk With Sally hosted an event mixer at Uncorked Hermosa Beach on Tuesday, January 24th from 6:30-9:30pm.
Members of the advisory board, Walk With Sally supporters, as well as Friendship Bowl participants and teammates gathered to celebrate the campaign’s official launch and learn of the organizations goal to raise $80,000; enough money to financially support 16 new friendships for an entire year. Guests enjoyed discounted wine flights, and complimentary hor d’oeuvres as the initial corporate sponsors for Friendship Bowl were announced. Official sponsors include Manhattan Beach Toyota, Dealer.com, Wells Fargo, and Laser Skin Care Center.
Walk With Sally is an LA based nonprofit dedicated to providing mentorship programs free of charge to children whose families have been impacted by cancer. Funds raised during annual events such as the Friendship Bowl enable the organization to match mentors and mentees in waiting, as well as support the various outings and friendship activities new matches will participate in throughout the year.
