Spending the last twenty years in Los Angeles working as an entrepreneur in the film, senior care and non-profit industries, my most rewarding experiences have come from my work leading Walk With Sally into the future. I have had the privilege of mentoring 3 boys since I started the program and look forward to matching children worldwide who have been impacted by cancer.

Julie Cegelski

Program Manager

Walk With Sally has impacted my life tremendously. I lost my father Jim to cancer in 2010 and my heart is able to heal through the work that we do at Walk With Sally. With every new match, friendship activity we plan, and new family we meet I know that we will change their lives forever.

Lucia Gorostiza

Program Coordinator

Raised in Southern California by Mexican parents, I have grown to seamlessly adapt to places and cultures around the world. As a UCSB graduate in Global Studies, I hope to make a difference in our world and leave my mark making a bold start with the families we serve at WWS! Like a good native of California I remember to embrace the surf, savor the diversity of food cultures, and indulge in ever accessible international travel.

Michele McRae

Director of Development

Originally from Florida, the other sunshine state, I moved to California to make a difference. Through Walk With Sally, I have found my calling and am so blessed to not only have been a mentor with the organization for 10 years but am now able to put my 17 years of business, marketing, branding and negotiation to use for the growth of Walk With Sally throughout California and beyond.

After working in the entertainment industry for 7 years I made the transition to Walk With Sally in 2014 to do something that would leave an impact on children’s lives. Everyday I get to work on fun events with caring and generous volunteers who want to do the same.

Kelly Smith

Program Specialist

As a pediatric cancer survivor, I am so excited to be a part of the WWS community! After treatments in high school, I went to UCSB and graduated with a BA in Global Studies and minor in French. While I’ve ventured to Europe, Southeast Asia, and Latin America, my home will always be the Golden State where I like to surf, swim, sail, and interact with the most incredible souls.
